DWU offers five masters level programs at the Madang campus:
- Master of Education (Leadership) through the Education Faculty
- Master of Education (Curriculum) through the Education Faculty
- Master of Leadership in Business Administration (MLBA) through the Faculty of Business and Informatics
- Master of Public Administration (MPAdmin) through the Faculty of Business and Informatics
- Master of Leadership in Development (MLD) through the Faculty of Arts.
In addition, the popular Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) programs are administered and delivered from the Port Moresby Campus.
With the sole exceptions of the current Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and the soon-to-be offered, professional doctorate program, which are both by research, all DWU postgraduate programs are offered in distance mode through the Faculty of Flexible Learning.
Currently, the demand to study part-time whilst remaining connected to the workforce, workplace environment, and at the same time benefiting from the social support and security of family, determines the nature of our postgraduate programs here at DWU.
As the university expands to meet the demands of higher education in PNG and because the practice of offering alternative pathways to higher education aligns with the millennium development goals and the visions of Higher Education in PNG, we confidently expect that some of these postgraduate programs will become available on a full time basis.
